Cardigan is some 8 miles form our Bed and Breakfast Inn and is easily accessed via car or public transport.
Built on the north bank of the river Teifi, Cardigan has expanded around the Norman Castle built in 1100 by Gilbert de Clare. The town has changed much since those times but some of the original narrow streets remain which now house a varied selection of shops.
Along the main street there are a plethora of shops including bookshops, galleries and the town hall. If you look up above the shop fronts there is also some great architecture to be found.
Below the town hall is a daily market and every Monday Cardigan hosts a cattle mart on the south side of the Teifi.
Further exploration of the town will reveal a Cinema, swimming pool and the ever popular Small World Theatre - a great venue for musical events amongst other activities. See their website for more info.. Small World Theatre website
Cardigan also boasts many pubs, restaurants and cafe's to enjoy and is a great day out for all the family.
